Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Administrative Officer of the Office of the Judge Advocate General, Assistant Judge Advocate General 01 (Civil Law). Your primary assignment will be in support of OJAG Code 15 (Admiralty and Torts Division), Red Hill Claims and Litigation Branch.

Duties

Help
  • You will be responsible for assuring the effective and efficient accomplishment of the organization's mission by providing essential administrative functions, management and oversight to administrative programs.
  • You will manage and maintain activity organization information and events (e.g. rosters, directories, organizational listing, files, recall roster personnel locators, etc.,.) in accordance with established procedures.
  • You will manage and oversee all facets of the Assistant Judge Advocate General 01 front office military operations and processes located in the Pentagon.
  • You will ensure programs are properly staffed with trained personnel, collateral duties are assigned, deadlines are met and training sessions are scheduled.
  • You will manage and oversee records management applying extensive knowledge in program requirements and regulations in order to properly manage the preservation/destruction of office records and historical files.
  • You will perform the below Supervisory duties:
  • You will provide technical direction, endorsing leave requests, determining training requirements, assigning work, establishing priorities, providing guidance on projects, reviewing completed work product for accuracy, and evaluating performance.
  • You will set deadlines and completion dates of assigned work duties.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing, analyzing, planning, performing and managing a wide variety of management, oversight and administrative functions. Examples of specialized experience should include most or all of the following: 1)Formulating and recommending administrative policies, procedures, and regulations by coordinating with various staffs to determine and evaluate needs; 2) Developing comprehensive plans and strategies for internal and external integration of day to day and long-range projects, actions and activities; 3) Controlling actions and projects and resolving a variety of issues related to the assignment, preparation and administrative processing of assigned actions; 4) Assisting with analyzing projects involving a wide variety of subject matters; 5) Providing technical direction, feedback to others regarding performance and reviewing work product for accuracy.

This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.

THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE ANNOUNCEMENT.
