Duties

Help
  • The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of tactical and clerical work in support of the work of the organization. The incumbent distributes publications across designated locations, maintains distribution plans and records.
  • The incumbent trains contractors on routes, performs preventive maintenance on vending machines, conducts month collections and supports marketing events and executes mail custodian duties.
  • Prepares a variety of administrative reports, technical correspondence, written documents, or graphs. Searches files and records or makes contact with individuals from within or outside the organizations for required information.
  • Compiles and edits for correct grammar, spacing, format, clarity of expressions, and consistency of statements with references and enclosures. Arranges to improve understanding and ease.
  • Maintains documents on equipment usage and maintenance, transports mail and assists with agency time and attendance and payroll.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier III background investigation.
  • This position has a physical lifting requirement of 25 pounds.

Qualifications

Must have experience performing work consisting of standard and nonstandard assignments involving different and unrelated steps, processes, and methods. A knowledge of rules, operations, and practices of the job is required. Must possess a driver's license and be able to lift and carry packages, weighing, on occasion, up to 25 pounds. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must be able to operate office automation equipment and prepare and edit documents. Must have knowledge of computers and telecommunications devises.
