Duties

Help
  • Supervises a staff of 3-12 employees, assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis. Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives and rates performance.
  • Works in executing recreation events, programs and services to meet the recreational needs of a diverse patronage, including a variety of multi-disciplinary events, i.e., social activities, tournaments and other major programs.
  • Recommends items of supplies, materials, and equipment needed for program functions. Assists with training new personnel. Assures that proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.

  • Duties may involve working indoors and outdoors.
  • Shift will usually be Monday-Friday 0800-1630 or 1230-2100. Will work varying shifts, weekends and holidays in support of special events.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume.

  • Knowledge of wide range of recreation and sports activities, organization and structure of military units and installation sports program objectives, policies, methods and procedures to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, assist, guide and motivate military staff in carrying out their responsibilities.
  • Basic understanding of budget and supply functions in order to prepare input and justification of funding for supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (English).
  • Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.
Highly Preferred Criteria: All answers to the Highly Preferred criteria must be visible in your resume to get credit.
  • 1 year experience using a point-of-sale system (ie RecTrac).
