Duties

Help

As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will:
- Coordinate complex logistics and paper flow for the Office of Investment Security, including official recordkeeping for the interagency Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and receipt of basic telephone and electronic inquiries from the public on behalf of CFIUS.
- Assist with record keeping of all CFIUS cases, ensuring that all documentation regarding CFIUS matters are maintained for future reference and for accountability purposes.
- Respond to inquiries and administrative problems brought to OIS leadership by members of the staff and by other Federal officials.
- Complete assigned tasks to ensure timely outcome of actions and application of customer service concepts to established policies, goals, and work priorities.
- Assist in creating and maintaining SOPs to improve office efficiency.
- Maintain calendars of senior leadership and deconflicting complex issues that arise on a continuous basis
- Facilitate streamlined communication between staff and principals

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the GS-12: You must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following:

-Performing administrative duties such as planning, development, evaluation and decision-making to support program initiatives; AND
-Reviewing and analyzing reports, memoranda, and other substantive documents submitted to management; AND
-Planning and coordinating meetings for supervisors.

Specialized experience for the GS-11: You must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following:

-Planning and developing in support of administrative or operational aspects of a program; AND
-Providing recommendations for improvement; AND
-Drafting communications, including reports and briefings, for management.

OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

OR You may qualify by a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 2 years may be combined with experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
