U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Assist patrons in checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, guiding trail rides, demonstrating hobby techniques, answering facility questions, ensuring that proper mounts (horses) are assigned to patrons.
Assist in preparing horses for customer use, such as saddling, bridling, and grooming. Assists in daily stall cleaning and maintenance. Mows grass, trims and edges walkways, waters plants, and cleans out drainage ditches.
Moves material using wheelbarrows, hand trucks or dollies, stacks and arranges supplies for storage. Runs lawnmower, uses rakes and similar tools and equipment. Performs cleaning and conditioning of riding supplies and equipment.
Ride, saddle and handle horses. Check and perform simple maintenance on equipment. Maintaining general cleanliness of main house, and barn.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
This position requires pre-employment and periodic drug testing.
A pre-employment occupational physical is required for this position.
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40-75 pounds and be able to stand, walk, and bend for lengthy periods of time.
Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be willing and able to travel occasionally to on and off post locations in support of horse shows, purchasing, or for special events.
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to ride, saddle and handle horses.
Must be ability to follow instructions to clean and condition riding supplies and equipment.
Must be able to operate a lawnmower, use rakes and similar tools and equipment.
Must have a valid state driver's license to operate vehicle.

PCS Costs
Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
