Duties

Help
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to resolve issues within functional programs.
  • Document planning and programming decisions in appropriate formats to meet requirements.
  • Verify the relevancy, adequacy, sustainability, attainability, accuracy, and completeness of information and recommendations related to assigned tasks.
  • Analyze and develop recommendations to resolve issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in major variety of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) functional programs.
  • Participates in the development and makes recommendations for modifications to systems and programs around doctrine, tactics, and concepts of operations.
  • Participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Prepare and provide briefings on program operations to senior leaders, 2) Design and conduct comprehensive studies, AND 3) Develop solutions to support command operational and contingency areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

  • TERM Appointment: This position is a TERM position Not to Exceed 3 years. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
  • TERM Appointment with option for conversion: To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
