Summary

Serve as the Technical Area Monitor (TAM) within the KSC Office of the Chief Information, you will be responsible for managing customer funded work packages, ensuring customer requirements are correctly captured on contract, provide an integrated contract view of all work packages, and submit feedback to Agency Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) with respect to contractor performance evaluation. Coordinating and communicating any challenges or issues with the appropriate individuals.

  • Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
  • Manage the Customer funded Center work packages on Agency contracts and serve as the Technical Area Monitor (TAM) by advising the team in developing contract requirements and providing feedback as part of the Performance Evaluation process.
  • Develops cost estimates for planning purposes taking into account contract management variables and execution constraints. Reviewing estimates to accommodate variations in funding requirements.
  • Employs techniques such as cost-benefit analysis to meet budget reductions and explores alternative methods of funding. Performs procurement requisitions for IT spend including highly specialized procurements.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Points of Contact, gather customer requirements and determine the contract execution method on Enterprise Contracts.
  • Coordinate, integrate, and schedule meetings with customers to review and discuss status of projects as well as baseline content and as necessary develop tailored reports to assist customers and management.
  • Support customers by providing contractor data input for phasing plans, performing plan versus actual analysis, and identifying issues or challenges associated with execution of requirements and/or budget and informing supervisor.
  • Coordinate instructions in a clear, timely, and organized manner to team.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level.

  • Performing budget and contract analysis and proactively identify issues or concerns.
  • Informing the supervisor and IT management of any potential issues or challenges associated IT Managed/Customer budgets.
  • Analyzing information gathered from multiple sources and presenting that data to management in a manner that they can make decisions.

To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level.
  • Evaluating, analyzing, or integrating contract data/information (including cost performance) to identify achievable solutions.
  • Interpreting contract data reports for recommendations to senior management to identify reasonable, logical solutions.
  • Coordinating and communicating with internal stakeholders on budget, requirements or cost estimates for projects/programs.
