Duties

Help
  • Serve as the focal point for staff advice and coordination on all matters pertaining to budget and fiscal activities, programming, and reviews,.
  • Serve as the focal point for staff advice and coordination on all matters on analyses, contracting, foreign military sales, personnel, administration, or designated management reporting requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret the status of the resources required and available for the various projects for the purpose of providing advice to the Commander which may significantly impact program milestone accomplishment.
  • Coordinate the resource management activities with higher headquarters, support activities, and the managers of the activity.
  • Responsible for the execution of administrative and personnel management functions related to the accomplishment of the assigned mission for the organization.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at K - Business - Financial Management (IV - Advanced) within 24 months of entrance on duty.
  • Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written three year tenure agreement.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 3 Certified position. Selectees must meet position requirements for this certification at Level III within 24 months of entrance on duty.
  • A Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is required on pre-employment and annually thereafter.
  • Up to 15% travel on business.
  • This position may require a one year supervisory probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: 1) Performing budget and fiscal activities for assigned Acquisition Defense Business System Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems programs; 2) Utilizing knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles to serve as the principal advisor on financial management, budget, accounting, program management and execution of the total operating budget; 3) Developing long-term projections and analyzing life-cycle costs for an Acquisition Defense Business System; AND 4) Analyzing resource management related problems and defining alternative solutions.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • Selectees must sign an AAC written tenure agreement to remain in the Federal service in this position for at least three (3) years.
