Duties

Help
  • You will also serve as the Deputy Assistant Director for the Multiple Threat Alert Center (MTAC).
  • You will work closely with special agents, and law enforcement and intelligence professionals from multiple organizations.
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of law enforcement and intelligence support to NCIS operational and investigative activity, including, the fusion, dissemination and production of related law enforcement and intelligence activities.
  • You will perform technical, administrative and management tasks that involve supervision of other subordinate managers or supervisors or direction of units, functions, or projects.
  • You will manage both day and shift work personnel.
  • You will be responsible for justification, direction, and allocation of resources (people, budget, material) across the organization through one or more levels of supervision and for setting organizational goals, objectives, and priorities.
  • You will present, justify and defend the NCIS position on issues related to counterterrorism, counterintelligence and law enforcement intelligence matters, which impact the Department of the Navy.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to perform shift work.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Understanding of and working with law enforcement and/or the intelligence issues as they relate to general crimes, or counterintelligence (CI), or counter terrorism (CT);
Directing and managing day and/or shift work law enforcement and intelligence professionals providing analytical support to criminal investigations, CT or CI missions; AND
Collaborating to produce analytical products with internal and external customers.
