Duties

Help

1. Performs routine maintenance, operational checks, and minor repairs on common outdoor recreation equipment such as travel trailers, utility trailers, BBQ grills, bicycles, skis, snowboards, and inflatable structures. Maintains electrical components, plumbing components, LPG components, mechanical components, structural components, braking components, heating components, and cooling/refrigeration components, troubleshoots and repairs/replaces as needed. Repairs and reconditions ski and snowboard base materials using industrial machinery. Ensures equipment is clean and in good working order before re-issue. Performs and documents scheduled safety inspections, preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs. Charges and stores batteries for use in recreational travel trailers, motor vehicles, boats, small engines, and other powered hand tools and equipment. Monitors, inventories, and submits bench stock refill requests of supply items. Maintains or repairs other related equipment.

2. Performs routine maintenance, operational checks, and minor repairs on motor vehicles and small engines such as, trucks/vans, boats, snowmobiles, and lawn mowers. Performs inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs on industrial / shop / support equipment such as motors, grinders, waxers, and edgers used to maintain associated outdoor recreation equipment. Assists in establishing maintenance schedules for equipment.

3. Provides instruction to patrons in the proper use of equipment. Manages the Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) program. Ensures compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Maintains cleanliness and order in the repair and storage areas. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have practical knowledge of recreation equipment and its use. Must have the skill and knowledge required for maintaining and repairing of recreation equipment and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling and motor driven systems. Must possess or complete ski binding manufacturers certification training. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical and be able to frequently lift, handle, and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Must be able to frequently stand, bend, stoop, crawl, and work in tight places for long periods of time. Must have a valid state driver license. Requires a valid driver's license. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment and random testing for drug use."

Education
