Duties

Help

As a Program Director (Supervision Learning & Development), you will:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and coordination of the Examiner Commissioning Program (ECP) for Supervision Examiners, as well as periodic updates to reflect evolving examination responsibilities and practices.
  • Oversee the identification, development and implementation of non-ECP training to improve and update commissioned examiner skills and knowledge.
  • Lead in the development of necessary contractual arrangements such as Vendor Training Requests, Requests for Proposals (RFP) and other contracts and procurement activities.
  • Oversee and ensure application of systematic instructional systems design approaches for designing, developing and implementing Supervision training.

Selectees living in the Washington, D.C. locality pay area will have their duty station listed as CFPB Headquarters. Selectees living outside the Washington, D.C. locality pay area will have their duty station listed as their home address. The locality pay you receive will be determined by your duty station: CFPB Headquarters (Washington, D.C.), or home address if located outside the D.C. locality pay area.

Key Requirements:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.

CFPB uses an experience-based process to set pay for employees. Experience is evaluated and credited using the employee's résumé. To ensure that all of your prior work experience (e.g., internships, volunteer work, details, part-time, self-employment, secondary jobs, etc.) is considered and accounted for, please ensure that your résumé covers the following:
  • your entire work history with specific start and end dates (MM-DD-YYYY) provided for each listed position
  • hours worked per week for each position
  • degrees and the dates conferred (MM-YYYY)
Part-time experience will be credited pro-rata based on a 40-hour work week, while work of 32 hours or more will be rounded up to full-time experience. If you have multiple positions that have overlapping start and/or end dates, only 40 hours of experience will be credited for a given work week. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience for the CN-72, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the CN-61/60 grade level in the Federal service. (For qualification purposes, the CN 61/60 is broadly equivalent to the GS-14). For this position, specialized experience is defined as:

- Overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of the Examiner Commissioning Program (ECP) for Supervision Examiners, as well as periodic updates to reflect evolving examination responsibilities and practices; AND
- Overseeing the identification, development and implementation of non-ECP training to improve and update commissioned examiner skills and knowledge; AND
- Overseeing and ensuring application of systematic instructional systems design approaches for designing, developing and implementing Supervision training; AND
- Overseeing the Supervision administration of learning technologies such as the Treasury Learning Management System (TLMS) or similar system, Virtual Classroom Platform, and other assessment and tracking tools.

We also take the selectee's skill set into account. Applicants should note that salary offers seldom fall near the upper end of the salary range as listed in this vacancy announcement. Salary may be set from the minimum of the salary range to the midpoint of the salary range. In some instances, based on a selectee's extensive experience directly related to the position, salary may be set at or above the mid-point up to the maximum salary for that band level. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
