The Commission is looking for an experienced senior level executive to serve as the Director, Division of Gas - Environment & Engineering (DG2E), Office of Energy Projects. The position is located in the Washington, DC Office, and responsibilities include programs of national scope derived from the Natural Gas Act and other related energy infrastructure legislation.
Additional responsibilities:
-- Serves as the Director of the Division of Gas - Environment & Engineering (DG2E) with the primary responsibility for the supervision and management of the Division.
-- Provides vision and leadership in the development and execution of overall policies, programs, and issues associated with coordinating and managing the processing of applications for natural gas pipelines, gas storage facilities, and LNG projects that require the preparation of environmental documents under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA).
-- Manages Division staff in a manner that exemplifies and promotes five leadership behaviors: communication, setting direction, implementation and achievement, fostering and promoting teamwork, and building trust and commitment.
Must meet mandatory technical and executive core qualifications.

1. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of Commission staff, as well as applicants, public officials, non-government organizations, citizens' groups, and local, state, and federal agencies to identify and resolve contentious gas pipelines, gas storage facilities, and LNG project-related issues.
2. Expert knowledge of and experience interpreting and analyzing the Natural Gas Act and other related complex regulations, rulings, and statutory requirements related to the processing of applications for natural gas pipelines, gas storage facilities, and LNG projects.
3. Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing environmental documents pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act related to the processing of applications for natural gas pipelines, gas storage facilities, and LNG projects.
For this position, specialized experience is defined as: You must have specialized experience at a level close to the work of this job that has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform. This level of experience must demonstrate progressively responsible experience in the leadership/executive and technical areas.
