Duties

Help
  • Assists management with the operation of Grant Halls's catering in accordance with established procedures. Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers.
  • Determines cash shortage or overages.
  • Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Submits daily report of operations. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan. May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag. Completes Daily Activity Report.
  • Completes fire safety checks and secures the facility. May monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using food and beverage software.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.

  • Must be willing to accept a varying or rotating shift to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Medical Examination is required.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess:
1. Work experience with progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items (cash items are currency, coins, checks, money orders and credit card receipts).
2. Applicant must meet state/local age requirements (18 years of age) for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment.
3. Skill in providing customer service.
4. Ability to communicate effectively.

Highly Preferred are applicants who possess the minimum qualifications above AND at least 1 year of work experience within a food establishment.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
