Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
Analyze national and agency information technology/cybersecurity mandates, determine impacts to systems, develop implementation strategies, communicate impacts and proposed solutions to management, recommend solutions, and track to closure.
Formulate and establish security review process on Mission Directorate systems. Determine structure, content, and cadence for reviews with management.
Develop an automated process that provides a view of Mission Directorate risk against all system security plans. Conduct and analyze Mission Directorate systems and security controls to determine risk to Agency, directorate, programs, and missions.
Review and scrutinize cybersecurity and technology implementations on contracts to determine feasibility, scalability, challenges, and roadblocks. Collaborate with contractors, NASA, and procurement officials on obstacles and resolutions.
Gather requirements for new technology, applications, and web sites; provide options with pros and cons; determine implementation mechanism; establish schedule and milestones; manage project and maintenance; update content; and decommission.
Manage Mission Directorate security incidents and resolve in cooperation with Office of the Chief Information Officer. Develop and present Cybersecurity reminders to train team members in understanding their role in avoiding cybersecurity incidents.

To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
Monitoring, reviewing and analyzing Cybersecurity, Information Technology and Operational Technology policy and planning to determine and implement efficient compliance;
Implementing new technologies, web sites, and applications to meet organization's requirements;
Conducting cybersecurity risk assessment reviews to communicate and track current threats, concerns, risks, and vulnerabilities.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Developing, implementing, and monitoring Cybersecurity, Information Technology and Operational Technology policy and planning to determine and implement efficient compliance;
Providing technical oversight of new technologies, web sites, and applications to implement;
Designing and developing cybersecurity risk assessment reviews to communicate and track current threats, concerns, risks, and vulnerabilities.
