Duties

Help
  • Provide high level review of staff studies, regulations and manuals, and special action papers such as investigative reports relating to a wide variety of subject matter concerning the organization.
  • Exercise acquisition and operational management of the Joint Project Manager Office on a day-to-day basis, including evaluation of office information systems requirements.
  • Directs the JPM/JPL programs, special projects and initiatives.
  • Interfaces and represents the organization with external stakeholders such as representatives from OSD, Joint Staff, HQDA, TRADOC, ASA(ALT), PEO Staff, and other commands and agencies, and private industry on all matters effecting program execution.
  • Ensures functional organization continuity by performing the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties for all functional directors.
  • Maintains continuous liaison and monitors collaborative planning with pertinent military users, DA staff and other agencies to render advice and counsel on assigned management activities.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NH-3) which includes: 1) providing operational services in areas such as acquisition, human capital, and workforce shaping to achieve organizational mission goals; 2) mediating controversial issues for internal and external sources in areas such as operations policy development and implementation, acquisition and finance; 3) mitigating impact of inter-organizational conflicts by providing resolutions and 4) Overseeing completion of all operations programs and initiatives assigned. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower band of NH-03 pay band (GS-13 grade level equivalent) position in the federal service.

Education
