Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the On-Site Installation Coordinator and apply a wide range of technical engineering methods, principles, and requirements.
  • You will participate in multiple complex C4I and (IT) projects.
  • You will apply a wide range of technical engineering methods principles, requirements, and work techniques in the area of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Systems and Information technology (IT) systems. Y
  • You will provide onsite technical support for existing equipment, installations, and conversions of new equipment.
  • You will participate in the development of design, plans, and solutions to ensure options are proposed for equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • You will oversee multiple Alteration Installation Team functions to include installation covering assemblies, equipment, systems and subsystems.
  • You will develop reports and provide input to plans and solutions for equipment installation, integration, interoperability, risk management, work estimates, and work schedules.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 80 level 1 within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

In Addition:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a range of technical engineering methods, principles, requirements, work techniques, OR practices; AND providing on-site technical support to existing equipment, logistical support, OR installation and conversion of new equipment.

Education

To qualify via Education:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.

Equivalent doctoral degree
