U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Assess and evaluate the students academic needs to determine the necessity for additional academic support and provide student-athletes with services primarily in the areas of literacy and writing skills but also study-skills and time management.
Continually analyzes teaching and training methods, keeping abreast of latest developments as they pertain to subject matter and supplementing changes as they occur.
Provides training to groups ranging in size from 5 to 150. Provides academic support and performance psychology services to cadets and uses a variety of techniques designed to enhance performance.
Services include techniques such as, goal setting, attention control training, stress management, group dynamics, learning theory, and self regulation. Coordinates with academic staff, coaches, tactical officers regarding progress made.
Supports other members of the Center for Enhanced Performance in providing academic support services in a professional and collaborative work environment.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

Must be willing to accept a varying or rotating shift to include nights, weekends, holidays and early mornings.
Qualifications
Undergraduate and Graduate Education with a major study (at least 24 semester hours completed) in Literacy, Writing, English, Secondary/Adult Education, or Secondary/Adult Counseling.
OR
Two (2) years of specialized experience providing academic counseling services to at-risk student populations at the collegiate level.
The experience or education/certification must be reflected on your resume and supporting documentation such as transcripts, degrees, diplomas, certifications, etc. must be uploaded at the time of application to be considered eligible for this position.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and the importance of compliance.

PCS Costs

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
This is a pay-banded position.
Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
