CAT 1- All on board Federal Employees/Technicians within the ALARNG (T32 and T5, Permanent and Excepted Indefinite)
CAT 2- Current Army M-Day and Temporary Technicians within ALARNG
CAT 3- Applicants willing to become NG T32 DS Technicians and gain ALARNG membership, all current federal employees, all U.S. Citizens
(1) Prepares and reviews requisitions. Determines current due-in status of back orders and identifies issues or problems. Processes requisition or turn-in documents based on shortage/overage annexes. Provides support for supply and maintenance discipline inspections and other like evaluations of subordinate logistical operations. Assists with lateral transfers of excess clothing, equipment and/or supplies within the organization. Identifies and reports problem areas to the direct supervisor.
(2) Consolidates and prepares organizational readiness feeder reports. Assists with the tracking of annual reports in support of organizational deployment activities. Assists with the receipt and issue of billets, equipment, and supplies for training. Researches and validates data for Reports of Survey, Cash Collections, and Statements of Charges. Reviews or prepares adjustment documents. Assists in the receipt, inventory, and issue of equipment fielded to the organization. Prepares convoy and transportation requests for movement of equipment and personnel. Assists with the transportation of equipment scheduled for repair, maintenance, and calibration. May assist with the management of the GSA vehicle fleet for the command. Coordinates and troubleshoots intrusion detection system activities throughout the command. Prepares correspondence and maintains logistical records and files. Responsible for ensuring the implementation, management, and execution of the Army Records Information Management System in subordinate organizations. Maintains technical reference library.
(3) Assists subordinate organizations in the preparation of subsistence requests. Assists in reviewing annual training (AT) and inactive duty training (IDT) food service records. Prepares requests for bulk and package petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL) and assists with turn-in actions. Assists in the receipt, issue, and turn-in of ammunition and residue. Individual must hold current hazardous material (HAZMAT) certification for the purpose of hazardous materials handling/reporting and environmental safety. May be required to receive and issue billets, equipment, and supplies for training.
(4) May be required to assist in the recruiting and retention activities of the organization.

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military grade in the Alabama Army National Guard. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Demonstrated knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned. Experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more automated supply databases to enter and retrieve recurring reports. Experience using working knowledge of the structure of a supply organization and the organizations serviced.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THIS POSITION:
Basic knowledge of logistical and maintenance functions sufficient to provide technical assistance to logistics personnel throughout the organization.
Knowledge of supply accountability sufficient to prepare and/or review logistical requests, receipts, and pending transactions.
Knowledge of one or more automated supply databases or systems to enter, correct, and maintain data for the purpose of retrieving and reviewing recurring or specialized reports.
Knowledge of the Army Unit Equipment Listing (AEUL) and automated transportation planning systems which support the deployment of the organization.
Knowledge of the Army Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) program to support the required calibration of specialty equipment (i.e. scales, torque wrench, electronic test sets).Knowledge of the operations and troubleshooting procedures of intrusion detection systems.
Knowledge of GSA fleet management requirements and reporting procedures.
Knowledge of United States Army Publication Agency procedures required to update publications within the organization.
In depth knowledge of hazardous material management to include transportation, handling, labeling, and storage.
Knowledge of logistical requirements sufficient to provide administrative support for organization training and deployment.
Knowledge of logistical procedures sufficient to conduct administrative review of adjustment and supporting documents.
Knowledge of food service administration sufficient to prepare and/or review subordinate organization food service requests and reports.
Knowledge of petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL) and ammunition operations sufficient to review and/or prepare documents pertaining to the receipt, issue, storage, and accountability.
