Help

As a Program Manager (District Director), GS-0340-15, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing effective leadership, management and oversight required to optimize the deployment of SBA programs and services throughout the District, to achieve the negotiated goals and to better serve the Small Business Community.
  • Ensuring that EEO principles prevail in the management of human resources. Applying Merit System Principles to develop, select, and manage a productive and diverse workforce.
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and measuring quality standards for all programs and services delivered by the District staff. Ensure high standards of efficiency and effectiveness are aligned with Agency mission and client/partner expectations.
  • Developing and implementing an annual district office plan, which demonstrates how the District will optimize the deployment of SBA programs and services in the District and the achievement of assigned goals for the upcoming fiscal year.
  • Building and maintaining a viable network of collaborative partnerships with small businesses and economic development organizations, Federal, state, regional and local governments, chambers of commerce, business/trade associations, educational institutions, civic/community organizations, lending institutions, foundations, universities, Congressional Representatives, Veteran Business Outreach Center, Women's Business Center, SCORE, Small Business Development Centers, Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, faith and community-based organizations.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience for GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:

  1. Developing, communicating and implementing the strategy, vision and direction of an organization with a diverse customer base; AND
  2. Managing or advising on the day-to-day operations of an organization, which must include business development, marketing and outreach; AND
  3. Subject matter expert in at least one of the following: financial, lending, procurement, economic development, or human resources matters; AND
  4. Leading individuals to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
