U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Performs a full range of simple cooking by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing. Prepare concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces and gravies. Make cold sandwich fillings. Set up and replenish salad bar.
Prepares food, weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular and modified menu items. Mix ingredients according to written recipes. Cover, date and store leftovers according to established procedures.
Operates a variety of kitchen equipment. Disassembles, cleans and assembles component parts and accessories. Prepares and cooks food using a flat top grill, a fryer, and also prepares pizzas.
Follows safety procedures to avoid personal injury and damage to the equipment.
Cleans, stores and maintains all equipment and work areas after each use. Cleans other work areas and equipment on an established cleaning schedule.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Satisfactory completion of 4 hour initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.

Must be 18 years of age by appointment date to meet state requirements.
Shift will vary based on mission but could include days, nights, weekends and occasional holiday are required.
Drivers license will be required to drive government vehicles to catering sites.
Qualifications

PCS Costs

FWS Allowances and Differentials
This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.

Pay may be set between the bottom and top of the advertised rate. Credit may be given for NAF time in grade but most new appointees pay will be set at the bottom of the pay rate for each level.
IAW AR 215-3, 2-5b (15), "Refusal of a military spouse to participate in established recruitment procedures for a RFT or RPT position (for example, interview, and so forth) is considered a declination of employment and is a basis for termination of SEP entitlement for the current PCS of the sponsor."
This is a mixed job, designed specifically for smaller NAF activities that required flexibility in employee work assignments. May be assigned to other activities based on mission requirements.
