Summary

This position is assigned to the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Division; Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR); Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka. The purpose of this position is to assist management with Category C (Cat C) movie program operations including sales, equipment operation, special events and resale operations. Duties

Help

  • Opens and secures facility.
  • Ensures auditorium, concession area, and restrooms are clean prior to patrons arriving.
  • Operates a Point of Sale (POS) to sell movie tickets and concession products.
  • Ensures concession area is properly stocked prior to opening.
  • Ensures movie hard drives and keys are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Ingests and programs movie automation utilizing the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) projection equipment according to the current movie schedule.
  • Ensures the scheduled movies are ready to be shown and projection and sound equipment are in good working order prior to the start time of each showing.
  • Performs frequent checks inside the auditorium to ensure sound level and picture quality are properly set.
  • Ensures no food, alcohol or other outside beverages are brought into the theater.
  • Conducts security checks of oversized bags and backpacks of patrons entering the facility.
  • Reports any problems or incidents to the Theater Manager.
  • Oversees the evacuation of the theater in the event of an emergency.
  • Ensures movie schedules and posters are posted in a timely manner.
  • Ensures program operates according to CNIC instructions and CNIC Program standards, guidance, and requirements.
  • Handles unruly patrons and in cases of continued disturbances contacts the security office for further assistance.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
  • Satisfactorily complete all background checks to include National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).
  • Incumbent must be able to work varied work schedules to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate possesses the following:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to handle money accurately.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs, (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), internet research and general personal computer operation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of CNIC Cash Handling procedures.
  • Knowledge of CNIC Food Handling procedures.

Education

  • When education is a basic requirement for the position, or when substituting education for experience, applicants MUST submit a copy of your high school transcripts, college transcript, or a list of courses, which includes grades earned, completion dates, and quarter, and/or semester hours earned as part of your application package.
  • Foreign education must include evidence that it is comparable to education received at accredited educational institutions in the United States.
  • Transcripts from foreign colleges must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency in order to be considered. Applicants are responsible to obtain and submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency, which is a private U.S. organization. Credential evaluations are not free and applicants are responsible for the cost of the selected service.
  • All substitutions of education for experience will be made in accordance with OPM approved qualification standards.
  • To receive consideration for a non-related degree or eligibility based on a combination of education AND experience, a college transcript is required.

    • *If your degree has not been awarded/conferred, you must provide a copy of your HS Diploma or equivalent along with transcript(s).

  • NAF Flexible (FLEX) employees are not eligible for benefits or leave accrual.
