  • You will monitor and ensure subordinate duties comply with over-arching policy guidance applied to all Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence Production Centers.
  • You will ensure subordinate output complies with Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) and Intelligence Community (IC) trade craft and security directives.
  • You will manage subordinate supervisors, fiscal, and human resources to direct department resources in support of overall department mission priorities.
  • You will lead department’s strategic efforts to develop new, broader, and deeper analytic capability.
  • You will examine and possibly alter organizational structure to meet higher priority tasking to ensure mission accomplishment.
  • You will represent Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) and the Department of Navy at senior national level and foreign forums serving as chairperson or member of working groups of committees to ensure mission integrity.

  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • Some travel may be required (within/outside U.S.)

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  1. Ensure subordinates' production of all-source scientific and technical intelligence analysis on foreign maritime Command, Control, Communication, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems complies with organizational and Intelligence Community regulations and directives;
  2. Evaluate work performance to identify training needs and improve the intelligence analysis and production of the division;
  3. Determine staffing needs to perform workforce planning, develop performance standards for junior employees, and oversee staff performance to recommend award recognition and hiring actions;
  4. Manage department budget requirements to optimize intelligence processing, analysis, and reporting and to avoid funding shortfalls.
