Duties

Help

As a IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC), GS-2210-12, you will:

  • Serve as the technical expert for an Enterprise environment that supports multiple classification enclaves.
  • Serve as the organization's senior database representative
  • Provide assistance, advice and guidance to organizational users
  • Certify work accomplishment, reviews and approves requests for payments
  • Ensure the application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices
  • Perform oversight for design and modification of the core infrastructure and correlation between data centers.
  • Information technology includes computers, network components, peripheral equipment, software, firmware, services, and related resources
  • Serve as an Information Technology Specialist providing Cybersecurity for a state National Guard headquarters. Operates within the DoD, Army and JS security procedures, operations, and practices. Ensures systems are operated and maintained IAW AR 25-2 and all applicable command, DA,JS and DOD security directives and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Program Information System Security Managers and Organizational Information System Security Officer at other locations to verify or clarify information pertinent to cybersecurity/Information Assurance procedures.
  • Maintain an operational knowledge base of past, current and possible future threats to the security posture by attending courses, conferences, seminars, online research, and information sharing between other Cyber Security/Information Security professionals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

General Experience:
Must have the following general experience in the following:

  • Processing data functions
  • Understanding stages required to automate a work process
  • Working as a computer operator, computer assistant, or program analyst


Specialized Experience:
Do you have 36 months GS-12 specialized experience in the following:
  • Using techniques and requirements that are appropriate to an assigned computer applications
  • Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment
  • Using guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment
  • Preparing documentation on cost and benefit studies
OR

Do you have A Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education as advertised on this announcement?
