Duties

Help
  • Performs routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical bowling equipment, components and assemblies.
  • Adjusts equipment in accordance with guidance provided by and identifies potential malfunctions to the Bowling Equipment Repairer.
  • Assists the Bowling Equipment Repairer in making repairs, adjusting equipment and related duties.
  • Cleans and maintains the bowling facility by replacing light bulbs; making minor repairs to vacuum cleaners, buffers, etc.; scrubbing, washing and polishing floors, walls and other surfaces.
  • Lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. Moves large items weighing up to 100 pounds. Works in awkward positions.

Qualifications


1. Be able to lift and carry large items weighing up to 100 pounds.
2. Possess work experience or training in the use of electrical test equipment and wiring diagrams.
3. Be physically able to work for extended periods of time in cramped and awkward positions.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
Incentives and Bonuses:
As a recruitment incentive, we are offering a $500 sign on bonus, and $1500 retention incentive. **Note: A one-time signing bonus of $500 will be initiated upon the first full pay period and is for new employees only. A $500 retention incentive will be paid in one lump-sum payment after the first six months of continued employment and a $1,000 retention incentive will be paid in one lump-sum payment after the first twelve months of continued employment with DFMWR. To qualify for the retention incentives, the staff member must not have had any LMER actions during that time or currently pending.
