Help
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and management of small business programs for the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) and NASA Headquarters, and attend/participate in NASA SBS Committee meetings.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to small and large businesses with regards to doing business with NASA on various missions and attend and actively participate in small business outreach events.
  • Serve as an advocate to the small business community and maintain a program designed to locate capable small businesses for current and future acquisitions and recommend portions of solicitations that can be performed by small businesses.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for advice from businesses, including "how to do business with NASA and the Federal Government", eligibility, business development, and marketing activities questions.
  • Participate in the development of small business uniform methodologies for major procurement actions. Assist in the review and evaluation of contracting activities to determine compliance with small business laws, regulations, and policies
  • Initiate, interpret, develop, and recommend policies and procedures designed to improve the overall efficiency of small business program activities.
  • Provide small business program advice and counsel to Goddard's procurement, business, and technical personnel.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:

  • preparing and delivering finished products to provide presentations to internal and external stakeholders;
  • analyzing procurement data to provide recommendations to all types of small businesses, while working to ensure all small business programs are supported; and
  • interpreting broad Agency policies, processes, and/or procedures to support small business programs.
