Summary

Leads the planning and execution of digital engagement efforts for AmeriCorps VISTA.
Researches, develops, compiles, and posts content for social media, blog, and web through the agency's content management system and social media accounts.
Oversees engagement activities on multi-platform campaigns.
Coordinates in planning, developing, and implementing email marketing campaigns using GovDelivery.
Manages 508 compliance for AmeriCorps VISTA, including 508 remediation and evaluating agency media for accessibility.
Assists in developing speeches and presentations.
Collaborates with multiple teams and stakeholders in a creative, team-oriented environment, including internal staff and external partners such as members, project sponsors, and contractors to create content and digital assets.
Monitors all social media engagement analytics, creates quarterly analytics report, and makes recommendations to AmeriCorps VISTA leadership to maximize results.
Contributes to continuous quality improvements throughout the year via special projects, trainings, work groups, and evaluations.
A 2-year probationary period is required for new Federal employees and supervisors.
Merit Promotion and internal applicants must submit a SF-50 to verify Status and grade
Satisfactory completion of a background investigation.

Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to at least the mid-range of the NY-2 pay band, which would be at or equivalent to, the GS-9 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes:
Researching and developing content for social media, broadcast outlets, and the web.
Drafting marketing messages.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing digital engagement platforms such as social media, blogs, etc. to promote organizational objectives.
Experience with content management systems, preferably with Drupal.
Experience in creative development including graphic design and video editing.
Exceptional creative writing and skills and copy-editing experience.
Experience with social media management and analytics tools such as Meltwater, TweetDeck, Hootsuite, etc.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps VISTA) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
If you are qualifying based on education alone, you must have a Master's Degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
