Summary

The Program Analyst (Global Engagement Program) will be responsible for leading a range of activities that directly support the mission and goals of the EHP Publishing program including: convening committees and working groups of editorial boards, peer reviewers, and authors; developing and coordinating engagement, outreach, and capacity strengthening projects; connecting with promising new initiatives, alliances, and collaboration opportunities.

Duties

Help

  • Advise on global or public health issues and challenges addressing them.
  • Execute engagement with the global health science community.
  • Analyze organizational priorities and provide a wide range of liaison services to support program and/or administrative functions, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Identify new global initiatives, alliances, and collaboration opportunities to support new and ongoing projects.
  • Utilize a high degree of qualitative and quantitative analytical skills in analyzing, evaluating, and improving the effectiveness of program operations.
  • Provide assistance in one or more of the following areas: policy analysis, program oversight, evaluation activities, strategic planning, and research coordination.
  • Serve as an advisor to the Editors in Chief and staff of the EHP Publishing program and expert in challenges associate with conducting science in low-resource settings.
  • Analyzes and evaluates, on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives and analyzes and integrates program financial, technical, and other information.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-13 level, if you meet the following qualification requirement:

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: researching and developing reports on global sociodemographic characteristics, public health issues, and associated challenges in lower-resource countries or settings; identifying partnerships and collaborating with diverse teams to develop, implement, and monitor programmatic activities; employing advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of organizational programs, and interpreting findings resulting from studies; leading studies and analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of training or capacity-strengthening programs; and developing study objectives related to programmatic activities, and recommending and implementing programmatic solutions to senior management.

  • 3. Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness.
  • 4. Ability to advise senior management on program activities and operations.
