Duties

Help
  • You will dispatch Aircraft Services vehicles, equipment and personnel verbally and by two way radio communications
  • You will receive requests from the squadrons and transient customers via various methods (telephone, computer and fax machine)
  • You will evaluate and prioritize customer requests including requests for hot and cold skid refueling operations and dispatches the appropriate equipment
  • You will operate the Fuels Control Center module of the Fuels Automated System computer
  • You will input data and track refueling operations to completion with the Fuels Control Center module and creates the billing for refueling services
  • You will review flight schedules for servicing requirements and communicate with the Control Tower and Air Crews regarding aircraft handling and servicing requirements
  • You will coordinate ground transportation and billeting when required by visiting flight crews and VIP's

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate that you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a working knowledge of standard dispatching procedures and operations in order to fulfill customer requirements performing the following:
1) Dispatch or schedule Motor Vehicle and/ or Aircraft support equipment in support of an Airfield or other operations
2) Receive vehicle/equipment requests and direct the work operations in controlling employees, equipment, and other resources assigned to a Dispatch Center
3) Utilize two-way radios as a means of communication between Dispatch Operations, operating activities, and vehicle movements
4) Utilize automated systems to enter, track, and manipulate data regarding dispatching operations.

Additional information

You will serve as an AIRFIELD SERVICES DISPATCHER in the Fuels Distribution Division of the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) which provides Airfield, Air Terminal and Fuel support for Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore and tenant activities. The duty station is NAS Lemoore, CA.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
