Duties

Help
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain stock of room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties
  • Ensure rooms, corridors, stairways and other areas are clean
  • Maintain cleanliness of walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt.
  • Required standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of items or carts weighing up to 20 to 40 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds.

Education

Area of Consideration:

  • The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is defined as Honolulu, HIand surrounding area within 50-mile radius; in addition to, you are considered eligible if one of the following applies: 1) you live outside of this area and are able to commute to work on a daily/as needed basis, 2) you are able to relocate yourself on your own expenses, 3) you are an involuntarily separated military member, or 4) you are a military spouse relocating to this installation (eligibility begins 30 days before the military sponsor's reporting date at the new duty location).

Salary Information:
Salary is pro-rated based on a 40 hour work week. Hourly salary is:
NA-02 $20.25ph to $23.62ph

New FWS appointments will be made at the minimum step rate for the appropriate grade, except as follows:
1) Garrison commanders or equivalent are authorized to make appointments at the second step rate in recognition of special qualifications, skills, and experience of an exceptional or highly specialized nature.
2) Upon reemployment and reinstatement to a NAF position, the entrance salary may be fixed at any rate for the appropriate grade that does not exceed the rate paid during the previous employment. However, if the highest previous rate falls between two rates of the grade, the employee may be paid at the higher rate


PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.

Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
