The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) for E&I is responsible for developing, directing, and administering a broad program of evaluations and inspections of internal and external activities of the Department of Justice (DOJ). Some such reviews are undertaken in response to requests by DOJ leadership or congressional oversight committees. The work results in recommendations to DOJ leadership to improve operations. Unless you have already been certified by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Review Board (QRB) in the past, your ECQs must be certified by a QRB before appointment can occur.
