This position is open to current NRSW MWR Employees.
Reviews the daily schedule of functions and events. Ensures that necessary supplies, facilities and equipment are available and activities are operating as scheduled and within established guidelines. Calls and schedules staff as necessary to meet the needs of the facility. Works with staff to ensure planned events take place as scheduled.
Acts as Duty Manager in absence of the RV Manager by monitoring operations of facility periodically checking to identify and resolve problems that may arise. Circulates around facility, maintains proper order, issuing warnings to customers that are not complying with established Rules and Regulations or are exhibiting disruptive behavior. Enforces facility rules. Explains and enforces eligibility policies to ensure that patrons are authorized to use the facility. In cases of deviation from usual operation, policy or procedures, brings situation to the attention of the RV Manager. Maintains a logbook with record of all significant occurrences for periodic review by the Marina Manager.
Responsible for the issue of change funds and control of the Petty Cash Fund. May make unscheduled cash counts. Enters records and reports on PC computer. Assures all personnel clock in and out properly. Ensures that all cashiers have adequately stocked change funds. Authorizes refunds and over rings as needed.
Issues equipment, accepts fees, makes change, inspects returned equipment, stores equipment, and assists in the indoctrination of marina rules and regulations to new patrons. Completes daily activity reports and deposits money in a drop safe. Answers telephones providing requested information concerning the Facility. Administers written and practical examinations for qualification of boat operators, both sail and power. Instructs sailing classes as needed. Performs housekeeping duties to ensure safety and cleanliness of facility.
Prior to closing building completes fire safety checks making certain that all trash receptacles are emptied and that unnecessary electrical equipment is unplugged or turned off. Secure all doors and windows, checks all locks on storerooms, office, and other spaces required to be locked. Sets security alarm system.
Performs other related or incidental duties as assigned. May assist with special events as needed.
