Help

As an IT Specialist (APPSW) (Enterprise Platforms Delivery Specialist), you will:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive EPT cross-platform roadmap that provides a visual representation of operational tasks, platform initiatives, CFPB strategic goals, and regular updates. Collaborate with program stakeholders, including customers, to prioritize requirements and projects based on a strong understanding of business goals and constraints. Work closely with program leads to apply intake and governance standards and processes to new work.
  • Serve as the liaison to the Project Management Office to promote controlled communications, driving continuity and transparency.
  • Collaborate with multiple product owners to gather, interpret and prioritize user requirements, transforming them into user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria for inclusion into an actionable backlog.
  • Develop and execute communication and training plans. Present formal and informal briefings to various audiences, including technical, non-technical, and senior leadership. Tailor communication content and delivery to suit the specific audience.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and the Solution Delivery Team Lead to enhance our work processes, staying current with platform best practices and emerging technologies that could address our challenges.
  • Develop and/or configure lightweight applications and assist users in doing the same on low-code platforms.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of emerging technology, such as AI and RPA, available on the platforms. Work closely with cybersecurity to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations and policies. Work with Solution Architects to incorporate emerging technology to solve customer problems as appropriate.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the CN-53, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the CN-52 grade level in the Federal service. (For qualification purposes, the CN-52 is broadly equivalent to the GS-12).Specialized Experience for this position includes:

  • Supporting operations and delivery on major platforms (such as Office 365, Salesforce, Service Now, and other SaaS or PaaS products); AND
  • Collaborating with product owners to gather, interpret, and prioritize user requirements; AND
  • Presenting briefings (both oral and written) to various stakeholders, including technical, non-technical, and senior leadership; AND
  • Project Management Experience such as managing intake and prioritizing projects, developing roadmaps, and coordinating a variety of activities through the product or project lifecycle.

In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

*In order to be considered minimally qualified, applicants must also complete a simulation exercise and receive a passing score from the SME.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
