Duties

Help

The incumbent of this position will:

  • Identify and lead opportunities and projects to build awareness, develop, and maintain joint partnerships with trade associations, state economic development offices, other federal agencies, universities, manufacturing institutes, federal laboratories, private sector, and non-profit organizations.
  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships to support MEP National Network (MEPNN) in diversifying their service portfolio.
  • Foster interagency relationships leading to MOUs and/or new resources for the MEP National Network.
  • Initiate and develop new value add programs/services enabling MEP Centers and their clients; small and medium-sized manufacturers.
  • Transform the MEPNN to be able to develop and deploy advanced manufacturing technologies in diverse sectors such as semiconductor, aerospace, defense, biomanufacturing, clean energy, and/or medical device manufacturing sectors.
  • Collaborate with the MEPNN (51 public/ private entities, board of directors, & state stakeholders across U.S.).

Qualifications

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level (ZA-III for NIST). Specialized experience is defined as:

  • experience in business development and understanding of consortium/technology innovation ecosystem to advance emerging manufacturing sectors to increase performance, capacity for growth and economic development
  • experience in initiating collaborations, coaching, and coordinating diverse group interactions, leading national initiatives, and partnerships with stakeholders such as agencies, universities, manufacturing institutes, federal laboratories, and private sector
  • proven knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies in sectors such as semiconductor, aerospace, defense, biomanufacturing, clean energy, and/or medical device manufacturing sectors

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
