Summary

This position provides oversight for coordination of disaster recovery efforts for other recovery and resilience program management stakeholders and partners in a field environment.
As a Supervisory Program Analyst (Recovery Coordinator) at the GS-0343-14, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as an SBA Regional Supervisory Program Analyst for the whole Community that consists of federal partners, state economic development and recovery and resilience management organizations, state and local appointed and elected officials, small business development and industry, finance and resource partners, internal SBA partners and other stakeholders within the assigned area of responsibility.
Evaluates and produces recommendations regarding efficiency issues and the evaluation of administrative aspects of disaster recovery programs.
Utilizes expertise in post-disaster recovery and economic recovery issues to build Federal, state, local, private sector, tribal, and territorial coalitions and derive actionable outcomes for interdisciplinary teams.
Plans, organizes and directs assignments and provides consultation, clarification, and training of the processes and assists subordinates.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Mandatory Overtime: In order to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated overtime hours may be required while on assignment (up to seven days a week and twelve to fourteen hours a day).
A valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications
Generally, time in Non-Pay status is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed below. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Experience: To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer or that experience will not be credited for meeting the specialized experience requirement.
GS-14: To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
*Supervise the work of subordinates in long-term recovery within an organization that enables effective recovery support to disaster-impacted areas; and
*Supervise personnel whose responsibilities include establishing and maintaining relationships with managers and stakeholders through engagement (examples: assigning work, formally monitoring performance, communicating with subordinates on critical issues, ensuring work projects are completed within established timeframes); and
*Make operational decisions regarding actions after an incident, disaster, and/or catastrophe to return to normal or near normal conditions; and
*Support, monitor, and supervise recovery efforts for disaster survivors through direct engagement; and
*Write and supervise task-orientated contingency plans that integrate an organization's program to incorporate mission essential needs and priorities.
