Help
  • Provide guidance and oversight of the Division/District Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) management and disposal work.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance techniques for Division/District real property Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) actions to ensure compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, delegations and regulations.
  • Perform technical staff reviews to determine the appropriateness of Division and District real property Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) transactions and prepares written analyses and evaluations.
  • Interpret and clarify real estate regulations, policy and guidance and ensures they are applied uniformly.
  • Plan and manage Major Subordinate Command Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) activities related to the disposal of the real property.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This is a Temporary position intended to last one year. A temporary position may be extended to a maximum of five years and may be terminated at any time during the duration of the appointment, depending upon the needs of management.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) overseeing real estate Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) activities to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; 2) developing and interpreting real estate regulations, policy, and guidance; 3) managing and analyzing BRAC real estate transactions for major projects; and 4) developing written documents such as briefings, workshops, analyses, out-grants, reports and evaluations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Additional information

  • Position may be filled as a temporary promotion NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition. When a current permanent Army employees is selected for a temp promotion for activities serviced by a different CPAC, the gaining and losing activities must coordinate placement of the employee at the end of the temp promotion, prior to the action being effected.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
  • Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
