Duties

Help

  • Plans, markets and conducts an ongoing program to provide conditioning programs for facility users.
  • Instructs individuals and groups in the proper conditioning and training for aerobic and muscular fitness, body composition and flexibility.
  • Instructs patrons int he proper use of equipment and self-monitored progress by preparing written instructions for use of equipment and safety of all users.
  • Supervises assigned personnel.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A probation period of one year may be required.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Successfully complete a health screening. Immunizations required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.

Qualifications

Work experience managing a physical fitness program which enables applicant to independently carry out a basic physical fitness program. Note: Experience in related physical fitness work must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the NF-02 level.
OR
Successful completion of a four (4)-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study (at least 24 semester hours) in physical education or general recreation.

Highly desired: Possess a valid physical training or personal trainer certification.
