  • Serves as an installation Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment Victim Advocate.
  • Maintains support and follow-up contact with sexual assault/sexual harassment victims throughout the lifecycle of the case.
  • Assists the installation SARC in the development and delivery of comprehensive sexual assault/sexual harassment training.
  • Represents the SAPR installation program both military and civilian agencies.

  • Education requirements: A bachelor's degree or higher in a behavioral, social science, or related discipline appropriate to this position is preferred
  • Certifications/Licensure: Must obtain, maintain and renew credentialing as required by a credentialing board identified by the DoD and specified in policy
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) prescribed “Unscheduled Telework.

Basic Requirements

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0100/social-science-series-0101/

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences is to providing effective prevention and response programs addressing sexual assault/sexual harassment and other acts of interpersonal violence as well as other areas pertaining to human relations and interpersonal violence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of social science and social work principles, concepts, and practices relating to victim advocacy and prevention of and response to sexual assault/sexual harassment.
2. Knowledge of laws, regulations, executive orders, issues, etc., to include the Air Force organizational structure, management policies, methods, and practices relating to sexual assault/sexual harassment victim advocacy, and related interpersonal violence.
3. Knowledge of social service delivery systems, methods, and theories relating to victim advocacy, sexual assault/sexual harassment
4. Knowledge of training and education techniques to implement and deliver sexual assault/sexual harassment training.
5. Skill in applying tact and diplomacy during interactions with internal and external officials during difficult and sensitive circumstances and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with organizations and individuals to identify, establish, modify and provide victim support/assistance.
6. Ability to employ various methods and techniques typical of a sexual assault/sexual harassment victim advocate program, including crisis intervention, situational assessment, and analyzing the needs of the victim to provide support and/or assistance to them in the resolution of complex problems.

This is an acquisition demo position, NH-101-02, equivalent to GS-05 thru GS-11.
