Summary

As an IT Specialist, you will 

  • Evaluate current and emerging technology, define technical issues, and develop alternative technical solutions.
  • Manages oversight in support of the Single Sign-On Infrastructure. 
  • Implement and maintain Identity Management solutions.
Located within the Office of GSA IT, Office of Digital Infrastructure Technologies, Platform Management Branch (IDTOB).  
IDTOB is responsible for managing Directory Services availability and performance monitoring.

Duties

Help

  • Serves as a liaison by working closely with third party contractors to ensure the delivery of Identity Management Systems, providing  management recommendations, equipment or software requirements, and  providing operational support for the Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.

  • Manages oversight in support of the Single Sign- On infrastructure by analyzing business processes, supporting, and maintaining the system, providing guidance on integrating the authentication solution into new and existing applications, and to provide individual assessment of new technologies used to enhance future architecture.
  • Manages, monitors, and provides support for the agency-wide virtualization service offerings, to include assisting in defining 1–3-year goals for the technical environment and various related products and services designed to provide the full range of capabilities from self-service through fully managed.
  • Provides direct analysis and recommendations associated with the implementation or migration of Active Directory tools by  implementing and maintaining Identity Management solutions including initial and ongoing configuration of related automation, notifications, and reporting capabilities.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $98,496 per year.  

Applicants applying for the GS-13 grade level must meet the following requirements: Have IT-related experience demonstrating EACH of the four competencies AND one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service as described below:

IT SPECIALIST COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify, you must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the  GS-12 level in the Federal service.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Specialized experience is performing work of a senior Information Technology Specialist providing expert advice in two or more of the following IT specialties: IT project management, data management, network services, systems analysis, systems integration, systems administration, applications software/hardware, customer support and/or security.
