Duties

Help

  1. Plans, organizes, and directs daily operations of the Community Activities Center (CAC) to provide programs to the community. Manages the CAC's bookings. Develops, plans, and executes programs based on the needs of the community, considering target markets and the changing needs of the authorized users of the facility, such as parties, instructional classes, games and tournaments, theater programs, bazaars, and cultural exhibits.
  2. Manages and oversees the operation of the Daily Grind Coffee Shop, located within the CAC. Orders and receives food, beverage, and supply items for the operation and maintains stock items at all times while monitoring budget requirements. Conducts menu planning, creates special menus, and establishes price points. Ensures food and beverage quality standards are met and tracks wastage.
  3. Conducts monthly inventory and inputs and balances inventory in an Air Force database. Maintains administrative and financial oversight of the CAC. Creates and maintains cost cards to meet Air Force financial goals. Processes daily financial paperwork, including banking procedures and point of sales reports. Inputs, reviews, and approves daily financial data into online system.
  4. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, oversees, and evaluates work as a first-level supervisor.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME):
You must possess the following experience:

  • Developing and managing an events program;
  • Using computers on a regular basis, including Microsoft Office programs and point of sale systems;
  • Working in a food or beverage operation, which included maintaining inventory, ensuring a high level of customer service, handling cash/funds transactions, and applying basic accounting procedures; and
  • Supervising and/or leading others, to include directing work, evaluating performance, and creating schedules.


Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

Additional information
