Duties

Help
  • Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology customer support services.
  • Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization. Identifies and resolves issues and problems.
  • Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures. Provides information and assistance to customers including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluates established methods and procedures and prepares recommendations for changes in methods and practices where appropriate. Presents formal and informal training to customers.
  • Reports, responds to and resolves customer requests. Applies information security and information assurance policy, principles and practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must obtain a CompTIA Security+ Certification Within 6 months of hire.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 3 background investigation.
  • Satisfactorily complete a T3 background investigation (Secret Clearance) and must be able to maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 40lbs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Work experience, education, and/or specialized intensive training sufficient to demonstrate IT knowledge and skill in:

  • Participating In the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services.
  • Installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software components.
  • Presenting formal and Informal training and assistance to customers.
  • Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests.
To meet the Highly Preferred you must meet all minimum and highly preferred qualifications. Highly Preferred applicants will be sent to management first.

Highly Preferred:
  • One (1) year Family Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) experience AND
  • One (1) year of Information Technology troubleshooting experience AND
  • One (1) year experience with AMPS, VLAN, and POS systems.

Education

Qualifying Education:

Graduate education in one of the following fields of study: computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, or technology management, or has provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

PCS Costs
  • Allowances, differentials, or incentives will not be paid.
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
