Help
  • You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (DATA MANAGEMENT/ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE) in the FLT READINESS REPORTING, DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/COS, COMUSFLTFORCCOM NORVA.
  • You will serves as the Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise (NRRE) Data Engineer.
  • You will perform analysis, plan, design, implement, document, assess, and manage data systems infrastructure to meet enterprise business requirements.
  • You will implement data solutions and oversee data architectures on the Government / DoD cloud, aligned to NRRE, DoN and DoD policy and practices, creating functional design specifications using Government / DoD reference architectures.
  • You will provide expert technical advice to Navy in the identification, isolation, and resolution of critical problems associated with reporting, collecting, and analyzing readiness data.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 651 level ADVANCE (A) within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

  1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Manages and configures network services.
  2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provides support to the end user by diagnosing and solving a variety of computer and system problems.
  3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provides advice and guidance to managers and customers.
  4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Applies methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, modifying, and improving systems to solve complex problem
GS-14: In addition to experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
  • Experience performing and applying database queries (SQL and noSQL), database theory, database design, and handling failover of a database.
  • Experience applying current constraints imposed by law and regulations promulgated by various agencies.
  • Experience applying business process engineering concepts and methods sufficient to lead/conduct studies used to identify potential improvements in the way information technology is applied.
  • Experience applying advanced IT data principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to accomplish assignments.
  • Experience applying interrelationships of multiple IT specialties, the agency's data architecture, new IT developments and applications, emerging technologies and their applications to business processes.
