Ensures security measures are maintained at all times. Ensures guest privacy is maintained at all times. Implement, conduct, and administer quality assurance/process improvement programs and training to support Navy Lodging Program services and operating standards. Evaluate performance and policy compliance, developing corrective measures as applicable. Establish a quality assurance program, working with various Hotel Del Monte personnel and assists management in developing corrective actions. Assist with administering timelines to meet Hotel Del Monte. Accreditation Standards. Conduct periodic quality assurance inspections of buildings and rooms to ensure acceptable levels of cleanliness and material condition. Plans, develops, coordinates, markets, conducts and documents all lodging training and maintains comprehensive training programs for Hotel Del Monte operations. The incumbent must prepare and maintain an up-to-date local training schedule. Training will include the use of Navy approved training programs and approved non-Navy training materials. Work with department heads to set up and conduct formal and/or informal training through the use of training tapes, books, lectures and other means of training. Serve as primary liaison with the Regional Training Specialist to schedule training and may be required to prepare a training or conference room for outside contractor training. The incumbent will provide guidance and direction to department heads and employees in the development of the Individual Development Plans (IDP). Responsible for ensuring mandatory annual training (EEO, Ethics, Prevention of Sexual Harassment, etc.) is conducted. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of the Quality Assurance program through inspections, interviews with supervisors, managers, staff members, guests and residents. Conduct tests on new products for possible use in Hotel Del Monte. Evaluate products for quality, durability, ease of use and cost effectiveness. May supervise various administrative staff positions to include, but not limited to: administrative support, purchasing, supply, accounting; approves leave, conducts counseling and evaluations, and recommends personnel actions to supervisor. Other related duties as assigned.
The incumbent must have two years training experience with a minimum one year experience in a lodging operation. The Certified Hospitality Department Trainer (CHDT) designation (or equivalent) or a diploma in hotel/hospitality management with an emphasis in training or quality assurance from an accredited institution of higher learning is preferred.
