Duties

Help

  • Incumbent serves as leaders to three or more housekeepers.
  • Ensures work is carried out in compliance with housekeeping procedures.
  • Reports to Supervisor work progress status or delays and any staff or work operation problems. Performs custodial worker duties setting pace for other workers.
  • Inventories all furniture, fixtures, bedding, lines and utensils assigned each cabin/suites to ensure needed supplies are available.
  • Responsible for control of cabin/suite master keys. Responsible for inspection of all units after cleaning.
  • Makes daily cleaning schedules for custodial workers ensuring proper workload and timeframes are met.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the proper uses of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
  • Must be able to clean and make adjustments to power cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skill.

Qualifications

Knowledge and skill sufficient to read signs, follow simple oral and written instructions. Ability to work safely while moving lightweight objects. Ability to use powered equipment and perform minor maintenance on this equipment. Ability to learn Safety Data Sheets. A general knowledge of cleaning.
