Duties

Help
  • You will analyze system requirements and recommend testing solutions to engineering team.
  • You will develop and document test points and test procedures for new hardware and software builds, and evaluate new hardware and software performance.
  • You will ensure tests are performed with appropriate hardware configurations and software loads.
  • You will recommend to engineering team the appropriate verification method (e.g., laboratory, ground, or flight tests) for system changes.
  • You will assist engineering team in flight test preparations by creating/collecting appropriate documentation..
  • You will analyze recorded data from laboratory, ground, and flight tests to evaluate functionality and performance of new hardware or software.
  • You will investigate problems and anomalies, isolating specific patterns to help identify root causes.
  • You will document, monitor, and prioritize system anomalies and deficiencies.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Systems engineering, to include: creating, decomposing, and ensuring fulfillment of system requirements
  • Evaluating hardware or software systems through laboratory, ground, or flight testing
  • Analyzing data qualitatively and quantitatively to arrive at decision-quality answers
  • Improving effectiveness and efficiency of processes and procedures
  • Working with aircraft, to include: maintenance or installation of hardware and software
