Write and/or edit scientific documents and other general or technical materials
Analyze the subject matter and audience in order to plan clear and accurate presentation of materials.
Provide guidance and direction regarding publications in support of scientific/medical subject-matter area, such as the natural or social sciences or other fields
Write or edit technical, high-visibility, high priority projects and materials, such as charters, master plans, reports of research findings; scientific or technical articles;
Write factually accurate materials and/or edits for factual content.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level, which must include the following experience: writing and editing products that articulate, interpret, and explain scientific and health information that communicates the policies, programs, and research findings to audiences.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
