Serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist in Network for the Local Network Enterprise Center (LNEC).
Reset voicemail passwords, change user information for E911 account management.
Report technical outages and degradation of service.
Serve as the point of contact in all network systems or standalone multi-unit systems being installed at Devens RFTA.
Verify receipt of products and services; monitor contract performance, and identify deficiencies that require immediate corrective actions.
Integrate data systems with computer local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN).
Troubleshoot all Information Technology problems and determine whether cable, equipment, or operations are the problem.
Serve as Alternate Security Manager/Coordinator and Safety Officer and serve as the Primary point of contact for Physical Security and as Key Control Officer.
Coordinate all video teleconferences (VTCs) NIPR and SIPR for RFTA Devens to ensure connections are established prior to start time.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
This is a Non-Critical Sensitive position. Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Must obtain and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license.
Security+ certification is required within 6 months of appointment.
The incumbent must attain and maintain Information Assurance (IA) certification by pursuing continuing education requirements in the IA field.
Information Assurance (IA) Training and Certification Best Business Practice (BBP) within six months of appointment.
Position may require overtime and shift work on short notice to include nights, weekends, and holidays and call back requirement to report within 2 hours of notification.
Business travel of less than 10% will be required.
Lifting up to 35 pounds.
Security+ certification is required within 6 months of appointment.

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, three full years of graduate education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
