Help
  • Provide oversight, strategic guidance, and process improvement recommendations to Engineering Directorate Integration Office management on information technology (IT) related matters.
  • Coordinate the IT portion of employee transitions (on-boarding, off-boarding, and internal moves), assist in computer refreshes, and facilitate support issues with agency IT contracts for the Engineering Directorate Offices.
  • Facilitate and approve Enterprise Service Requests for computer, mobile, network, and conference room services for the Engineering Directorate Offices.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to develop new and maintain existing IT policies, guidelines, standards, and knowledge base articles for the Engineering Directorate.
  • Manage government credit card and IT purchases for the Engineering Directorate Offices including coordination with procurement office personnel, budget analysts, and property custodians.
  • Respond to IT data calls and actions, generating actions as necessary to collate required data, represent the Engineering Directorate Offices in working groups, teams, boards, etc. as required.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:

  • Supporting IT operations for an office environment including interfacing with end-users, submitting support tickets, coordinating with technicians, and inventory management;
  • Applying budget management principles to include maintaining accurate credit card procurement records, generating purchase reconciliations, and tracking and communication of purchasing deadlines;
  • Implementing document configuration control and change management processes utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of tools, or similar, to conduct/review technical documentation.
AND

IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
  3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
