The Cross Mission Data Branch is home to the Space Force's most fundamental and largest weapon system - Data! We are tasked with building the foundational Enterprise Data ecosystem to securely store, secure and, expose, data at the speed of relevance. Join our team of motivated individuals to help craft the future of the digital fight! #DataIsAWeapon Tasks include collaborating with senior DAF and USSF Leaders in all Data Offices and Technical Integrations Offices, as well as coordination with all DoD and inter-government data offices for data-focused concerns and goals. Works with Contractors, Chief Engineer, and Materiel Leader to develop future data formats, translations, and integration architecture. Opportunities to develop and oversee computational algorithms and statistical methods that find patterns and relationships in large volumes of data sourced from advanced hardware and software. Designs and oversees data modeling processes, create algorithms and predictive models to extract data. Ample opportunities for professional meetings and conferences

Key Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition management process and initiatives.

2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DOD, United States Space Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process.

4. Skill to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff in critical aspects of development and production, support of systems, subsystems, or equipment and to coordinate various aspects of systems acquisition such as engineering, contracting, financial management, configuration, test, and manufacturing.

5. Ability to supervise, mentor, motivate, appraise, and work with subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory employees.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, with technical accuracy and to use computers and a variety of software programs and databases, gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning program progress, and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management and contractors.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP-SECRET security clearance.
  • This position is eligible for situational telework (2-4 days per pay period).
