This position is located in the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Inspector General (OIG), Mission Support Team (MST), Logistics Management Office (LMO), Property Management Division (PMD). The incumbent manages warehouse operations including shipping and receiving for the DoD OIG.
Summary

Independently plans, organizes, and leads daily warehouse operations.
Oversees the full range of warehousing activities including receiving, storing, selecting, and shipping bulk, bin, and personal property and equipment.
Ensures formal accountability when receiving, sorting, or issuing property and equipment using the appropriate Accountable Property System of Record.
Enforces safe work practices and procedures and maintains the warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
Develops policy, procedures, goals, objectives, metrics, and internal controls for warehouse operations.
Collaborates and communicates with internal and external stakeholders using various means.
This position has been designated as Non-Critical/Sensitive. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with DoD OIG.
Current DoD civilian employees are not required to submit to drug testing if moving from one Testing Designated Position (TDP) to another with no break in service, unless deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
The incumbent must adhere to the DoD Standards of Conduct.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.
You must meet specialized experience described below.
Specialized Experience: You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in the Federal service or at an equivalent level. Specialized experience is defined as:
- Managing daily operations of a warehouse.
- Preparing property transactions documents using an Accountable System of Record such as the Defense Property Accountability System.
- Evaluating ways to improve the effectiveness of warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
- Interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and policies in areas of responsibility.
- Collaborating with stakeholders on the status of equipment receipt and delivery, and warehouse operations.
- Enforcing safe work practices in a warehouse.
You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions: http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp.
