This Notice is issued under direct-hire authority to recruit new talent to this occupation.

As a Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will act as a Supply Chain IT Operations Analyst performing the following: 

  • Perform contractual compliance execution activities involving onsite or virtual assessments of industry practices and actions to accomplish positive contractual compliance outcomes.
  • Determine supply chain and contract compliance risk by evaluating vendor business strategies and contract requirements, researching information security standards, conducting supply chain vulnerability analyses and risk assessments and risk reduction strategies for software, IT products and services, complex IT solutions and the associated third party risks involved with solution components and services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Cyber Security Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) policies and processes across all FAS supply chain business functions.
  • Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders and maintains these relationships throughout projects, providing technical input, market research, and with higher graded specialists related compliance and C-SCRM support, keeping stakeholders advised of problems, solutions and developments on projects as they progress.

The GS-12 salary range will depend on location after selection. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service.

  • Problem Solving - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant identifies and accommodates technology and resource constraints.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  

Specialized experience is defined as experience in performing Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) and contract compliance, assessment planning and preparation, execution, writing, and reporting; performing qualitative and quantitative analyses of vendor supply chain risk management and compliance controls, processes and IT systems. This experience must demonstrate application of the policies and principles of supply chain risk management and contract administration with Information Technology vendors.
